The Tutoring Program

•         Launched in fall, 2005 with the financial support of the Texas Workforce Development Commission

•         B2B is a focused tutoring program for engineering students in the basic areas of sciences, math and programming to help them survive the first two years of the program

•         It is principally aimed toward electrical engineers but engineering students in other disciplines are welcome to utilize the services of B2B tutors

•         Encourage women/minority tutors/students

Program Implementation

•         Focused student-to-student tutoring for engineering students in the basic areas of sciences, mathematics and computer programming, statics, basic circuits to help them survive the first two years of the program.

•         B2B employs tutors from the science, engineering and computer science departments to provide support to freshmen and sophomores in these critical subject areas.

•         Tutors from Supplemental Instruction (SI) are also supported by this program in a collaborative effort
